Dr. Yadhu K Lokanath is a neurosurgeon and spine surgeon who believes that good care begins with listening. His goal is to understand each patient’s concern, identify the source of pain and choose a treatment plan designed to achieve the best possible functional outcome.

He completed his MBBS from J.J.M Medical College in 2009, followed by postgraduate training in General Surgery at J.J.M Medical College, Davanagere. He then completed superspeciality training in Neurosurgery at J.N Medical College, Belagavi, Karnataka.

In 2016, he joined Aster CMI. He moved to Aster RV Hospital in 2020, where his interest in the management of spinal disorders continued to deepen. He later completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Endoscopic Spine Surgery at Seoul St Mary’s Hospital and pursued further training in Percutaneous Endoscopic Spinal Surgery as an international visiting surgeon at St Peter’s Hospital in Seoul, Korea.

His clinical interests span spinal conditions across paediatric, adult and geriatric populations. Lateral access surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery and endoscopic spine surgery remain central areas of his practice.

Alongside clinical work, Dr. Yadhu has attended professional programs, published scientific papers and articles, and presented the management of spinal disorders in academic circles. He continues to bring current principles and technology into daily practice while keeping treatment decisions centred on the individual patient.

He currently works as a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spine Surgeon at Aster RV Hospital and consults at centres across Bengaluru and Davangere.
