Most of the vertebral compression fractures heals with time , but depends upon severity of osteoporosis , degree and nature of fracture

  • Bed rest – recommended for short period of time, until acute pain subsides
  • Pain management – NSAIDs, Analgesic
  • Spinal bracing – Not much help full
  • Followed by progressive supervised mobilization

      Most patient get better with these methods in case of persistent pain affecting daily activities  or significant loss of vertebral body height on imaging leading to progressive spinal deformity and neural compression causing deficit  surgery is necessary

What can I expect after surgery ?

Post-surgery , your made to walk the same day and discharged in 1 or 2 days .You would be advised physiotherapy (simple exercises) , medication to treatment and prevent osteoporosis .
